Cruisin!

I finally got the cruise control set up and working on my quilting machine. Today I am putting on the leaders and loading up a practice quilt. WhooHoo! Can I tell you how excited I am??

Time to get those quilt tops together and bring them to get done. I can do quilts up to 100"x106", but the baby quilts and twin size move fastest.

Let me know if you want to put your quilt on my calendar.

Amara

For this next week, I will be making heart shaped items or using fabric with hearts in it. Pillows, pincushins, etc. My niece is going to have open heart surgery in a few weeks and I just want her to know I am thinking of her.
I hope to have pictures up soon.

For the birds.

Well.. today I pulled out the fabrics and made everyone in the house rather anxious. It always seem to do that when I get real serious about a project. I think they can sense that there will be no regular meals and the clothes aren't going to wash themselves until this is done.
I found a rather nice focus fabric with an all over bird pattern batik. The tough part has been finding fabrics to co-ordinate since there are subtleties in the batik coloring, but I think I have found an interesting colorway to work with that should make this pop. In the interest of time, I am not going to do an elaborate pattern, but will stick with something simple in hopes of finishing this in a few weeks tops.
The center of the quilt is the bird fabric with a thin border. Around that will be a set of blocks using triangles in some manner and corner set blocks. Then there is to be a color block border followed by a simple outer border. All of this will be done in blues, greens, purple, red and brown.
I think it is going to look great.

Stay tuned....

I am now an official business owner. My business license has been approved and signed by the Mayor. The ACTUAL...Mayor! (I feel so honored)

Guess it's time to get busy.
Okay..so I have had so many asking to see the quilts I am working on, that I have decided to post them here. Somedays it isn't pretty, so bear with me. I currently have about 65 in the works, but I am not the best at getting pictures and keeping track of each detail, but we will give this a shot. Over the next few weeks I will try to post pictures of projects in progress. Let me know if you have any questions.
